Cyrus is Back

Hold onto your achy breaky heart, Billy Ray Cyrus is back in town. What has he been doing all these years? Cyrus has had success co-starring next to his daughter Miley on Disney’s hit show “Hannah Montana.” Cyrus was about to call the whole music scene quits until he saw his family drive away from Nashville on their way to Hollywood. Since Disney’s Hannah Montana had to be closer to Hollywood (and Billy Ray too), their Nashville home had to be left behind for good. As Cyrus had a few loose ends to tie up, his family went to Hollywood ahead of him, which left him gazing out the window of their Nashville home dumbstruck. Cyrus thought that he “was ready for it until I actually saw them driving away.” That’s when his guitar started to call, and instead of packing boxes, Cyrus spent the afternoon strumming away.

The tune that he picked out on his guitar was the, already, smash hit “Ready, Set, Don’t Go,” which was released July 24th. His album Home at Last has hit the number three spot on the country billboards and has already sold more than 28,000 copies – that caused the album to hit number 20 on the all genre Billboard 200. This has all been quite an impressive comeback for Cyrus. Perhaps fans are connecting with the father in him as “what the whole album encompasses ... is a man satisfied and completely content with being the father figure ... I try to be there for the kids – talk to them, relate to them – both on the show and in real life.” This attitude is apparent throughout his new album, and it seems to be the one aspect of Cyrus that fans just can’t get enough of. Cryus is expected to keep going strong with his music career comeback – a happy occasion for all of his devoted fans.
